Closing for Inventory - New York, Sunday June 8th, 2008
Ill be Djing (as JD Salinger) on Sunday for a book release party for a new book project I recently did in collaboration with Dexter Sinister (www.dextersinister.org/)...my DJ set will be based off of Paul Morley's essay in the book titled REPRODUCTION. This all is probably a bit confusing (because the essay is actually about a video I made, and Moog, and Gould, and 1 million other things) so as for the content of the records I will be bringing, think along the lines of The Monkeys, Robert Rental, Richard Strauss, and Tangerine Dream, ... alot of Tangerine Dream. I will only be bringing one turn table, so also be prepared for alot of awkward silence.
Also at the same time in the same building upstairs (aka Kunstverein Munchen Goethe Institut New York) will be a performance by KEN OKIISHI & NICK MAUSS at 7pm.
